Pele king explains why Cristiano Ronaldo is better than Lionel Messi – but who does he see the best in football?

The debate over Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo will never end.

While the opinion of the fans is quite different, it is interesting to see the thoughts of football legends.

Pele king of football says Cristiano Ronaldo is better than Lionel Messi Pele believes that Ronaldo is consistently better than his compatriot, before noting that Messi is not a striker.

“Today the best player in the world is Cristiano Ronaldo,” Pele told Pilhado’s YouTube channel.

“I think he is the best because he constantly performs well, but you cannot forget of course Messi, but he is not a goalscorer.”

Messi has made 856 appearances for his country and club, with the Argentina international scoring 697 goals and 298 assists.

Ronaldo has scored 725 goals and provided 220 assists in 1,000 appearances.

But when asked about the best player ever, Pele said:

“It’s a difficult question to answer. We can’t forget Zico, Ronaldinho, and Ronaldo.

“Europe is the best ever Franz Beckenbauer and Johan Cruyff. So it’s not my fault but I think I am the best of them all. ”
