Player confesses killing his child in hosptial

Bursa Yildirim Spor player, Cevher Toktaş, has confessed to killing his 5-year-old child with a pillow, who was showing coronavirus symptoms. He had a cough and high fever.

Football and Turkish society have received a tragic piece of news. Footballer Cevher Toktaş has confessed before the police to murdering his 5-year-old child, who was in the hospital.

That is the information that the Turkish newspaper ‘Daily Sabah has revealed. The player told of it 11 days later, as the doctors thought that the child had died from the coronavirus as he was hospitalised with a cough and high fever.

“I pressed a pillow over my son who was lying on his back. For 15 minutes I pressed the pillow without lifting it. My son was struggling during that time. After he stopped moving, I lifted the pillow,” explained Cevher Toktaş, according to the aforementioned media.

The Bursa Yildirim Spor player admitted that he did not like his son and did not want him: “Since his birth, I have never loved my youngest son. I don’t know why I don’t love him. The only reason I killed him that day is because I didn’t like him”.

The player has now been arrested by the authorities and will be tried for the murder of a five-year-old minor.
